The Nicklaus Private Course has been ranked several times by Golf Magazine as one of the ‘Top 100 Courses in the World.’ Originally designed to host the 1991 Ryder Cup, the event was ultimately moved to The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, SC, to better accommodate international television coverage. The PGA West Nicklaus course is home to both golf course condos and single family homes. Single family homes were built during the decade between 1990 and 2000. Condos were developed from 1990 through 1992. ‘Nick Private’ HOA dues include front yard landscape maintenance, access to community pools / spas, and trash pickup.
Residents of PGA West have the option of joining the golf club (Premier Golf membership), becoming fitness/social members, or can elect to play the three PGA West public courses with no membership fees or dues.
PGA West members have access to three clubhouses, a health and racquet club, and numerous social activities. La Quinta residents also have access to the city’s SilverRock Resort Course with highly discounted property owner golf rates.
